UKWAS 3.1 approved by FSC

The UKWAS steering group is delighted to announce that the UKWAS Third Edition (version 3.1) has been approved by the Forest Stewardship Council for use in its UK certifications with effect from 1st July 2012.

UKWAS 3.1 incorporates a small number of minor amendments required by FSC as a condition of approval. There is a transition period of one year.

The UKWAS 3.1 can be viewed or downloaded from the UKWAS website together with a Summary Revision Report detailing the changes made.

PEFC UK has submitted an amended UKWAS 3.1 to PEFC for its endorsement which is anticipated in November 2012. Until then PEFC users should continue to use UKWAS 3.0.
